As a courtesy to all Moorhead citizens, Police Officers and Police Volunteers will conduct Residence Checks of your home at your request if, for instance, you are leaving town on vacation for an extended period of time.

To request a residential check, download Residential Checks Request form (60KB pdf) and return it to the Law Enforcement Center located at 915 9th Avenue North, fax it to (218) 299-6461 or call our Records Division at (218) 299-5120. Or complete the Residential Check Request now and submit online. Residents requesting vacation house checks must secure all doors and windows before leaving. Any open doors and windows will be investigated by an officer and the house will be secured.

All residential check information is confidential/private data and will not be shared with the public; it is provided only to the officers assigned to your neighborhood patrol.
